Zazen Boys is finally gonna release their 4th studio album, aptly named Zazen Boys 4. This album is special for several reasons. Firstly, its touting Mukai's roots by reuniting with David Fridmann and Tarbox Studios, in the States. And as we all know (well, jsut me), Fridmann was responsible for the mixing/producing of 2 albums and a single by Number Girl (Destruction baby, Sappukei, and NumHeavymetallic). Why is this important? Because it is. Second, its been two years since ZB3, and if you've listened to ZB3, you'll know that it was not what listeners expected as a follow up to the excellent ZB2. Lastly, Mukai has been batshit lately, experimenting and fusing genres, as noticed in recent performances and singles. Suffice to say, we don't know what to expect in this album, since ZB has practically reinvented their "style" zince after ZB3, with Mukai's fascination with Keyboards, the new Bassist Yoshida, and the current use of m'fucken SYNTH.
and there you go. overall, brace for EPIC.
luckily, we can preview 2 songs from the album via the *cheaply made* music videos recently.
